My film pick for Halloween is not a classic choice (Poltergeist, Casper, Scream, etc) but rather a real classic, featuring Veronica Lake. "I Married a Witch" tells the story of a 1942 politician (Fredrich March) who becomes haunted by a witch (Veronica Lake) who was burned by his ancestor. Her love potion goes awry in a classic tale of everyone loving the wrong person. What could be better on Halloween than a little Veronica Lake and witchcraft?
I can really buy Veronica Lake as a witch, can't you? She looks drop-dead gorgeous in her pictures, but also a little conniving and dangerous.
