I have some pictures to share from my first official day in Athens. We went to an area called Syntagma Square (correct me if I don't spell something correctly!) which has a number of shops and some good places to eat. My first official and completely delicious gyros in Greece was consumed here. I can still feel the party in my mouth...
Also, there was an Eco World exhibit going on that was really amazing. From wearable clothes made from trash bags, to shoes made from potato sacks, and chandeliers made from plastic water bottles--it was a neat way of looking at living green without sacrificing the visual.
It really almost goes without saying--but I am having a marvelous time.
