I must admit, when I heard about the Modcloth Chictopia dress I wasn't expecting much, but low expectations are a good way to be pleasantly surprised--and I was! The fit and shape of this dress are delightful and I rather love the almost gaudy sheen of the material. There's a real weight to the dress and the bell shape of the skirt holds all on its own. My only downsides are: I have nowhere to wear this and why wasn't this around when I was a few years younger?
All of the other ladies invited to Chictopia 10 will be receiving this dress and wearing it in their own way, so we can all look forward to the diversity of styles that will showcase. Mitzi Cocoa wore hers recently with a blazer and pearls. I paired mine with my El Top-o-Mod blouse which I've been meaning to wear out. I really love this delicate, sheer blouse with the loose bow at the neck. The outfit came out unintentionally Gothic Lolita...Perhaps, I have been watching too much anime online lately.
