Ahoy Skipper

It is hard to live near the water and not dress nautical; I firmly believe that our surroundings influence us greatly. So, as this outfit came together I felt as if I ought to be spending my day on some sort of sailboat (obviously I did not!). I couldn’t resist this little striped number from the brand Dear Creatures, which my sponsor Shop Ruche carries. It’s everything I expect from Ruche and Dear Creatures: slightly retro, timeless, and comfortable. It’s a perfect summer dress, but as summer is leaving us I had to throw on some layers—I’m a big fan of blue, on blue, on blue… This denim vest is turning out to be a great layering piece!
