There was quite a storm during our trip and while it didn't slow down our group or buses much it did turn the drive from DC to NY into a winter wonderland. Seriously, the prettiest layer of white snow resembling powdered sugar dusted everything making evergreens along the highway look like a fitting setting for a gingerbread house. Predictably these pictures were taken during another practice period for the students; since their tour through the US was a concert tour most of their time was actually spent playing their instruments rather than exploring this country. I felt rather bad for them most days--as they were just kids and they had a limited amount of "fun" time. They did manage to get outside for a short snowball fight on this day (I did not participate).
