I'm working on some new styles to jazz up my summer ponytail. On hot days I can't be bothered to wear my hair down and a ponytail is often the first choice I resort to. I tried this hairstyle out while I was in Matera and really liked out it ended up look--and it's quite simple to achieve as well.
How to:
-start with a high ponytail; this style works really well on straight or damp hair
-divide your hair into two even sections
-twist both sections of hair in the same direction; I twisted mine clockwise
-without unraveling the two sections, twist them together in the opposite direction; i.e. counter-clockwise
-pull tight and tie your twist off with a hair elastic
