I never get tired of looking at vintage photographs--whether it's the incredibly poised fashion work of models like Dovima, or artfully composed photographs by experts like Cartier-Bresson or the more documentational captures, like the series above of 1928 England. These photographs were taken by Clifton R. Adams on assignment for National Geographic using Autochrome. It's not common to see color photographs from this period in time and Adams captured a number of quiet, everyday scenes making this seris all the more alluring for its glimpse into the past.
